The Assessing Department is responsible for the annual appraisal of all properties in the Township. The department maintains property descriptions, building information, taxpayer name and address, parcel numbers, sales, SEV and taxable values, PRE/Homestead, and property splits.
The Building Department handles permits, approvals, and inspections for property improvements. This department is contracted through PCI of Dorr. Permits for building, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical are available here.
The Clerk is responsible for handling day-to-day operations of the Township and is the official keeper of the Township's records. The Clerk's office is also the overseer of local elections. Township Board meeting minutes and schedules are located here.
The Planning and Zoning Department handles the master plan, land use, development, rezoning, and subdivision planning. This department also includes the Township Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA).
The Supervisor serves on the Township Board and is responsible for setting and enacting policies and resolutions, setting budgets, and acting as a liaison for the Township citizens.
The Treasurer is responsible for collecting and distributing taxes levied by the taxing bodies respresented in the Township. The department maintains tax records, prepares tax bills, and maintains records of all evidences of value belonging to the Township.
The Utilities Department is responsible for maintaining the municipal water and sewer systems in the Township. They handle new connections, system expansion, system repair, service billing, and quality testing.
