NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING

JAMESTOWN CHARTER TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION

TO: CITIZENS AND RESIDENTS OF THE CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF JAMESTOWN, OTTAWA COUNTY, MICHIGAN.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at 7:00 p.m., local time, a public hearing will be held by the Planning Commission of the Charter Township of Jamestown, Ottawa County, Michigan, at the Jamestown Charter Township Hall, 2380 Riley Street, Jamestown, Michigan, 49427, to hear and consider a rezoning request to the Zoning Ordinance Map of the Charter Township of Jamestown, and a text amendment change to Section 9.3D – Special Uses and Section 10.3I – Special Uses – of the Zoning Ordinance Text of the Charter Township of Jamestown.

Section 1

The map amendment (rezoning) proposes to change those portions of land located in the Charter Township of Jamestown that are described and currently zoned as R-1 Residential Zoning District to the C-2 General Commercial Zoning District. The two (2) properties are located on the east side of 32nd Avenue, south of Greenly Street at 3388 32nd Avenue and 3410 32nd Avenue. The legal descriptions and parcel numbers of the properties are as follows:

S 10 A OF N 30 A OF W 5/8 OF W 1/2 OF SW 1/4, EXC S 132 FT, ALSO EXC W 50 FT FOR RD R/W. SEC 9 T5N R13W 70-18-09-300-029 – 3388 32nd Avenue; AND

S 10 A OF N 20 A OF W 5/8 OF W ½ OF SW ¼ EXC W 50 FT, ALSO EXC N 160 FT SEC 9 T5N R 13S 70-18-09-300-022 – 3410 32nd Avenue

Section 9.3D – Special Uses of the Jamestown Charter Township Zoning Ordinance is proposed to be amended in its entirety as follows:

Section 10.3I – Special Uses of the Jamestown Charter Township Zoning Ordinance is proposed to be amended in its entirety as follows:

I. Three to four unit dwelling in compliance with minimum standards for lot size
Section 4

Any person interested in these matters may appear at such hearing in person or by agent or attorney. The map amendment application and text of the proposed amendments to the Jamestown Charter Township Zoning Ordinance may be examined by any person at the Jamestown Charter Township Hall. Written comments concerning these matters may be filed prior to the hearing with the Jamestown Charter Township Clerk, Jamestown Charter Township Hall, 2380 Riley Street, Hudsonville, Michigan, 49426, (Phone 616-896-8376), between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
